“Global Well-Being” can be defined in two ways.
1) From the perspective of our individual feelings about the world, our feelings impact our overall sense of well-being. Is the world a happy friendly place or a lonely dangerous place? What we believe impacts our sense of “global well-being.” If we are traumatized, we see the world as a scary place.
2) From the perspective of ratings on a scale of measurable statistics, the second definition of “global well-being” refers to the actual condition of the world. Is the world doing well as a whole in measurable ways? Are we actually experiencing “global well-being” as a planet?
